MOULD REMOVAL

IS YOUR PROPERTY OVERRUN WITH MOULD?

A buildup of excess moisture in a property gives mould its perfect growth conditions. Problems such as flooding, rising damp, leaking pipes, blown double glazing, or even just keeping a property too cold can create the moist conditions that mould needs to grow.

If you have: A musty smell, Damp patches, Mould around your window frames, Mould on furniture, mattresses, walls, ceilings or doors.

It is important to understand that most household treatments for mould contain bleach which actually feeds fungus. It will bleach the appearance of the mould, so it looks gone, but without getting into the spores of the fungus, the mould will simply take the food and begin to grow into the walls instead of out of them, until it is out of control. Professional treatment is recommended in order to eradicate the growth before it takes hold.

Keep yourself safe. Keep your tenants safe. Get your property treated. Once you have dealt with the underlying cause of the damp and excess moisture, let us eradicate your mould to create a healthy environment.

DECOMPOSITION/TRAUMA/CRIME SCENE CLEAN UP

There is no greater pain than losing a loved one.

The loss is tragic. When a death is unattended it is usually because the person involved is not socially active, which can lead to the body not being found for several days, or even weeks.

Unfortunately, it is not the Emergency Services job to clean up the scene of the death. The clean up falls to either the grieving family or the premises owner.

It's a very delicate subject to broach with the bereaved, but human decomposition constitutes a biohazard. Even when there is no blood decomposition involves the breakdown of organic matter, which can release harmful pathogens and bacteria. Cleaning up decomposed materials without proper protection can expose individuals to these biohazards.

Odour and Airborne Particles: The strong odor from decomposition can be overwhelming and unpleasant. Additionally, airborne particles (such as dust, mold spores, and bacteria) can be released during the cleaning process, posing a risk to respiratory health.

Psychological Impact: Decomposition scenes can be emotionally distressing, especially if they involve a loved one. Cleaning up such scenes can be traumatic and may lead to psychological

stress or anxiety.

Infection Transmission: If the decomposition is due to an infectious disease, there is a risk of transmission during cleaning. Proper precautions, including personal protective equipment (PPE), are essential to minimise this risk.

Chemical Exposure: Cleaning agents used during decomposition cleaning may contain strong chemicals. Improper handling or mixing of cleaning products can result in chemical exposure

Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Failing to follow proper procedures for decomposition cleaning can lead to legal and regulatory consequences. Compliance with health and safety guidelines is crucial.

Cross-Contamination: Inadequate cleaning practices can lead to cross-contamination, spreading biohazards to other areas. Thorough decontamination is necessary to prevent this.

Note: It is highly recommended to hire professional decomposition cleaning services to handle these situations. They have the expertise, equipment, and training to safely and effectively manage the risks associated with decomposition cleanup.

We are trained biohazard cleaning professionals, with further training in dealing with the bereaved. We quickly and tactfully remove, sterilise and deep clean all affected areas, using the correct PPE, chemicals and bio hazardous waste removal procedures.
